Doubt over most Apple iPad 3/iPhone 5 rumors

Every year during the build up to a new Apple product there are a vast amount of rumors and speculation floating around the internet. Some of these may be true or just made up by certain individuals before they go viral across the net. But there will always be some doubt over these Apple iPad 3 or iPhone 5 rumors.

The next iPad will be one of the most anticipated tablets this year, and could quite easily take the market to new levels. Tablet sales are estimated to be around 48 million units across the board in 2012, with the next iPad taking a big chunk. It is believed the new device will feature a quad-core processor with a new display that will have double the resolution of the current model.
According to an article the iPad 3 is also expected to ship with LTE connectivity, which may also find its way onto the next iPhone. The Android platform has had this for a while now but Apple felt it would have to make too many compromises to include the technology into its devices. The company would’ve needed to totally redesign the iPhone with a bigger battery as currently 4G devices can suffer from poor battery life.
It now seems Apple may have fixed that if a recent battery patent is anything to go by, and upcoming LTE chipsets this year are going to be smaller and less power hungry. Apple will certainly have more of a fight on its hands now to continue its domination for the tablet market, and recent figures suggest its market share has dropped ten percent to 58 percent for the final quarter of 2011. This could easily be put down to consumers waiting to see what the next model will bring.
There has also been a lot of speculation that the next iPad could be thicker than the current model, which many consumers will be unhappy about. The iPhone 4 was liked because of its uniform thickness and being 9.3 mm throughout, while a report is stating that the rival Galaxy S II starts off at 8.71mm but goes up to 9.91mm.
Some believe that the iPad 3 will focus more on the quality of the display and its connectivity over a slim design, but with Apple you never know. There have been a number of rumors that the iPad 3 could be revealed as soon as next month, with a release shortly after. But one analyst has suggested the device could even be released in February, after claims from sources via Apple’s supply chain.
Just recently there were rumors that Apple was close to kicking off production of the iPhone 5 at its Foxconn plant. The source was claiming the new handset will have a 4-inch+ screen possibly made by LG, and there was no tear drop design. But an article is saying that a trusted Apple community blogger, John Gruber, has rubbished these claims. He didn’t provide any sources but has proved to be accurate with predictions about Apple products in the past.
Many of these rumors can be put under “serious doubt” when you consider the secrecy Apple works under, and the amount of hype build around Apple’s products. When looking for solid rumors that will end up being accurate, they are always there thanks to some leaks, but it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
This is one reason Apple fans like looking at the news and rumors surrounding Apple products, like the upcoming release of iPad 3 and iPhone 5, because you never know when you’ll bump into something that is true and most likely to be included in the iPad 3 or iPhone 5. Apple recentlyreported record results, and new claims are suggesting the iPhone accounts for 8.3% of the global phone market.
AppleInsider are reporting that for the last quarter of 2011 the 37 million iPhone sales gave the company its 8% share. This will undoubtedly increase further with the release of the iPhone 5 this year. Below there are a couple of videos talking about the iPhone 5/iPad 3 rumors.
