Best Buy Gauging Demand for a 42-inch Apple TV Priced at $1,499

Best Buy sent out a customer survey that was spotted this week by The survey revealed some hints that how new Apple TV is going to look like and cost. The survey was related to “all-new 42-inch Apple HDTV” that would theoretically sell at Best Buy for $1,499. Buyers are expecting that Apple will finally reinvent what a TV can do.
what are the features on42-inch Apple TV :
- The television has a 42-inch, 1080p LED flat panel display.
- The new Apple TV uses the iOS operating system that is also in the iPhone and iPad. These two devices can be used as a remote control for the full-blown TV set.
- Now you’ll be able to search movies and other content from the Internet, you can save them and play content you’ve purchased, and run different apps on a big screen. – The 42-inch Apple TV will connect to iCloud services, iTunes, and Apple’s App Store.
- The Apple TVs will also be allowing to use YouTube, Flickr, Netflix, and other online content services, suggested by the survey.
- Video chats via Skype or other applications will also be possible on the new Apple TV as it also contains a built in iSight camera and a microphone.
The tech journal argued at this last point that Apple hasn’t used the “iSight” brand for its cameras before and company might going to position its own Face Time product for video calling ahead of Microsoft’s Skype.
It is not clear whether this is a real customer survey or Apple is endorsing whatever is written in it or Best Buy is just doing all this on guesswork. The Verge does note that Norwegian research firm Confirm it, the listed administrator of the survey, has counted Best Buy as a customer in the past, however.
It was reported in December that Apple in the second or third quarter of 2012 is going to revive up its supply chain to deliver components for next-generation television products.
Apple’s rumored Television plans is the fact that few months before the death of late Steve Jobs last year told biographer Walter Isaacson that the company had “cracked” the secret to an Apple TV.
