It has lower calling rates than Skype or mobile carriers on international calls. Vonage gives low-cost international calling with per-minute rates. On average it charges 70 percent less than other major mobile carriers do and 30 percent less than Skype’s rates.

You have to enter your mobile number and address as you launch the app for the use of your mobile number for outgoing calls, and for account management purposes. Your phone’s address book also uploads to their server by Vonage. also Vonage don’t hide the fact as other app do that it is doing so. Vonage eliminates the need for unique user names and duplicated identities for contacts. You can also instantly create a free global and texting network using the mobile app’s multi-invite system.

Through Vonage Mobile you can make app-to-app calls over 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi. Not only calls to any Vonage number is free but calls to other Vonage Mobile app users are also free. Another advantage is that you do not need to be a Vonage customer to make calls. Through in-app purchase, credit for international calls can be added. Additionally, you can add calling credit directly from the mobile app via iTunes or Android Market. Adding credits is via increments of $4.99 and $9.99.
