In the last couple of days, the iPhone hacker planetbeing has announced that he is working on an update for a fix that will solve the issue that has been faced by many people on the iBook DRM issues. and yesterday The iPhone Dev-Team released RedSn0w 0.9.10b5.
Just now the Chronic dev Team has updated the Corona 5.0.1 Untether to version 1.0-7 which brings fix to iBooks DRM issues.
@ saurik the developer of Cydia has stated that about Corona 5.0.1 Untether v 1.0-7:
Corona 1.0-7: @XusBadia reported that 1.0-6 had a “Depends” that made it refuse to install on an original iPad.This has been corrected.

Just Start Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone iOS 5.0.1, then Search for “corona” in Cydia and install it. after this corona will fix iBooks DRM issue automatically on your iDevice .
Note: After running Corona 5.0.1 Untether v1.0-7, reboot your idevice.

Following on the heels of the iPhone 4S jailbreak release, number of Siri jailbreak tweaks has been released that expands Siri’s default capabilities. In the stock configuration, Siri can only read or dictate iMessages, make calls, add reminders, report the weather, and do web searches. Where we used to suffer from scarcity (before A5 jailbreak), now we are burdened by the tyranny of choice.
The cydia tweaks listed below adds power to your digital personal assistant and provides you with overwhelming options such as turn-off WiFi or Bluetooth with Siri, launch App, Set brightness, change Mic color, translation in 35 languages, and custom Siri commands and lots more.

SiriToggles: Adds Siri Commands to Launch Apps and Control Settings
SiriToggles brings voice-activated app launching and toggle a few system settings to your jailbroken iPhone 4S. You can launch any app by saying “launch app” followed by the app name. If you speak “launch Netflix” command, Siri voice assistant will launch the app in no time. You can even calibrate the brightness by saying – “Siri, please set the brightness to 50%.”
To toggle settings like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular data, you can use the phrase “enable/disable” or “turn on/off,” followed by the setting you’d like to switch. For example – by saying “turn off Wi-Fi” – Siri will respond and will turn-off your WiFi.
Believe me! SiriToggles adds a load of new features to Siri on the iPhone 4S (it also works on older devices such as iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4G using spire tweak to get Siri). SiriToggles, developed by Hamza Sood, is available to download in the BigBoss repository of the Cydia store for free.
AssistantExtension: Turn on/off SBSettings toggles, Translates Siri & more.
This free MobileSubstrate tweak will add enormous power to Siri Assistant and lets you launch apps by voice, send tweets, turn on/off SBSettings toggles (similar to SiriToggle tweak), talk with integrated chatbot and lots more. Other developers can even make their own custom commands and add it into the tweak using its native plugin system.
Currently, two extensions are available. First one is ‘YouTube’ (source code) which searches YouTube and shows results with thumbnails, example: “Search Lady Gaga on YouTube”. The second one isLingual (created by the CodeThemed team) that helps you to translate to over 30+ languages using Siri. The plugin is using Microsoft’s Bing Translate API for SIRI translation and could prove a useful tool at your disposal.
The developer has listed the method in detail and if you know little bit about basic programming, then you can code your stuff to extend Siri’s capabilities. For example, plug-in can be written in such a way that it controls your Mac/AppleTV with Siri.

Siri Mic Colors: Change color of Microphone of your choice
If you would like your Siri Mic to be a different color, other than its default purple, then this is the mod for you. With ‘Siri Mic Color’ jailbreak app, you can easily change the color of Siri’s Microphone by choosing between blue, green, yellow or red. In addition, select Siri Mic Colors, which changes the color of the microphone depending on how loud you speak.
This tweak enables theming of the Siri microphone icon via Winterboard. You can find the Siri Mic Colors app on the repo http://repo.technetec.com for free. It’s easy to use and very straight forward. Depending on how picky you are, you can have any of the four color installed on your iPhone 4S in very little time via Winterboard.

Custom Siri Background: Spruce up Siri background with Wallpapers
As the name suggests, Custom Siri Background app changes the wallpaper of Siri assistant. It is available for free on the repo ModMyi. Just search Custom Siri Background in Cydia and install it. Once installed, head to the settings.app and select the image you want to apply. You can even choose an image from your Camera Roll or take a new one. The tweak will also work with other iOS devices which uses Spire tweak for Siri port.

Hands-Free Control: Activates Siri without pressing the “Home button”
Currently, you can only activate Siri on iPhone 4S by pressing the “Home button” but with “Hands-Free Control” cydia tweak, as the name suggests, you can easily invoke the Voice Assistant by saying the word “Siri”. Now that you can jailbreak your iPhone 4S, you will be able to install this tweak. The tweaks works well on non-iPhone 4S device which uses Spire proxy. Here is the video in Action:
Several other options are also available in the settings such as changing the default keyword ‘Siri’, audio quality, sensitivity, and many more. No icon would be added to your SpringBoard – all settings can be accessed under the Settings.app. “Hands-Free Control” cydia tweak is available via the BigBoss repo at $2.99 only. - Reboot : Restart your iPhone using Siri

Sireet : Hands-free twitter
Developer Tyler Nettleton aka InfectionFX has developed a new tweak ‘Sireet’ for jailbroken iPhone 4S that adds the ability to tweet using Siri assistant. After installing Sireet app through Cydia, open up Siri and say “Tweet” (insert tweet here). Siri will say “Tweet Sent”. If you are interested in the Sireet Cydia tweak you can find it in Cydia through the ModMyi repo for FREE. Watch out for Sireet video demonstration.
SiriUtils: Launch App, Disable Utilities, Power Off and More
Yet another MobileSubstrate tweak that adds custom Siri commands to jailbroken iPhone 4S (or those which supports Siri via Spire tweak). It helps you to enable or disable certain settings (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/etc), get info on battery level, change your screen brightness and even launch apps.
For example; Say “change brightness to 40 percent” or “what’s my current battery level” or Launch app by saying – Launch “App Name” and lot more. After installing SiriUtils on your iPhone 4S, just respring it and you are good to go. Check out SiriUtils Video demo
OpenSiri : Open Apps with Siri
Like AssistantExtension and SiriToggles, OpenSiri enables you to open native iPhone applications (not jailbreak app) and even Twitter and Facebook by saying “open” or “launch” [App].

A new unreleased Siri Tweak for your jailbroken device is coming in few days, it seems like the best Siri tweak that will allow you to customize Siri and create your own voice commands.
MySiri is an upcoming Cydia tweak that will be released within few days on the BigBoss repo by developer: Andrea Oliva & Akhil Tolani.
It has the ability to enable and disable system toggles, create your own custom background, open specific apps, preform setting commands like restart, reboot, power off, lock and more. There’re also custom replies that allows you to make your own questions and answers to talk with Siri and make conversation with her.
MySiri also includes “Activator Events” that allows you to execute activator actions and controlyour iPhone 4S with your voice. The upcoming Siri tweak “MySiri” promises deep Siri customizations but it’s still in development.

iPhone Dev-team has dumped the baseband bootrom, which means that iPhone 4S unlocking is very promising. The code which connects the iPhone 4S with cellular network resides inside the internal rom, which means that they will be able to use an exploit to get success in unlock process. According to MuscleNerd, who are interested on iPhone 4S unlock, should stay on iOS 5.0.
Unfortunately, the unlock (with ultrasn0w) will be available only for iPhone 4S, as iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS are still more complicated.

Blackberry was undoubtedly the world’s most used smartphone before the iPhone age. However, ever since the debut RIM’s market share of the of the smart phone market is melting away like ice on a hot sunny day. This effect has been made acutely profound by the fact that almost all of the killer apps that were once associated only with Blackberry are now also available on both iPhone and Android devices.
Back in the days of Blackberry dominance, Blackberry Messenger was the most popular app. It could certainly be termed as a killer app for the Blackberry. RIM kept the app exclusive toBlackberry devices for a long time and there was no comparable app available for any other competing platform. However, now with the release of iMessage by Apple for iOS and Chat ON by Samsung, BBM’s exclusivity has been eaten away just like that of the hardware platform for which it was available.
RIM’s executives are now seriously considering porting BBM to both iOS and Android platforms in a desperate bid to try and salvage the user base of BBM. While giving an interview toCrackBerry, RIM CEO Thorsten Heins stated regarding porting BBM to iPhone and Android that:
We’re constantly exploring our room to maneuver and our room to explore other businesses so I wouldn’t say categorically no to it,” Heins explained. “There is a time where this might make sense, and I have a team looking into this… I’m open for licensing if it makes sense.”
We personally think that this makes perfect strategic sense. RIM has already lost its marketshare to Apple and Google which wont reverse in the foreseeable future. There is no point letting the messaging app dominance erode as well by being stubborn about having BBM exclusive for Blackberry devices alone.
