Evi - Smarter Than Siri Is Now Available For iOS and Android [Video]

We all know how Siri in the iPhone 4S made it such a big hit. There were similar voice controlled software available in the market but Siri managed to climb and stay on top as the best voice-activated personal assistant. Many other Voice controlled apps were seen in the market trying to compete with Siri. Most of these apps have one thing in common; they are only available for non-iOS phones. All these apps proved to be nothing more than simple dictation applications, or a front end for Google’s own voice services, leaving us to believe that to truly get a voice assistant that works we will have to own the iPhone 4S.
Now, however, there is a new app available on the internet with the name Evi which is a personal assistant app billed as “revolutionary artificial intelligence here to help with all of your everyday information needs.” With the same promising feature of plain English search like Siri, Evi additionally offers to help you look up just about anything like for example location-based searches, trivia, and a wide array of others.
By recognizing your actual request Evi provides more information than a standard search engine. Evi, unlike the Siri offers both voice and text input methods and it provides local information for both the U.S. and tha U.K. It features some other awesome features like one-tap word typing giving suggestions of words which help in building a sentence faster. Its ability to adapt and learn from users helps the users to get a more personalized feedback.
When testing Evi’s performance it answered some of the questions that even Siri couldn’t respond to. Another great thing about Evi is that it is available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and couple of Android devices. This is hopefully going to make Evi a more popular app than the Siri.
