Alright, the headline of this post is more of a question rather than fact. That’s because new rumors have just came out regarding our favorite topic for this blog – of course, the next iPhone. According to9to5 Mac, their reliable source coming straight from Foxconn in China said that the next iPhone or iPhone 5 as what it is being called right now is now being geared for commencement of production. Said source also mentioned that there are now various prototypes of the next iPhone, with slight variations from each other. So, workers could not really tell which form factor the next iPhone is going to take.

The report notes however some common features among the iPhone 5 prototypes in Foxconn. These include a 4-inch display, different form factor than the iPhone 4S, and no tear-drop design. The source said that the next iPhone seems longer and wider than the iPhone 4S. This is true of course since the next iPhone is going to have a bigger screen display than the iPhone 4/4s.

If production of the iPhone 5 is indeed starting now, we may likely see the next iPhone getting launched in summer, just in time for the WWDC. This is the same pattern that the iPhone 4S took last year.
