For the past couple of days, there have been several new rumors coming out about the release date of the next iPad or iPad 3. We decided not to update you anymore since these rumors remain to be rumors and most of them are based on personal analysis of industry experts without providing tangible proof to them. But the latest iPad 3 rumor to come out is too good to be true and we simply could not bear its passing away.

We’re talking about the recent reports by the Cydia Blog showing up an “alleged” iPad 3 component. This part is said to be the microphone flex cable for the iPad 3. In case you’re not aware this is the third rumored part of the iPad that have came out previously. The first two components were the dock connector and ribbon cable of the iPad 3. All three rumored iPad 3 parts are currently available from TVC-Mall.com.

What’s interesting about this microphone flex cable is the fact that it may be giving a hint of a major redesign for the iPad 3. Compared with the same part as in the iPad 2, the microphone flex cable for iPad 3 has different arrangement in it internal circuitry. Specifically, the blog reports that the part has a tail-end that makes a “U-Turn.” For the iPad, this tail-end makes a 90-degrees turn on both ways.

Whether that minor change in the internals of the microphone flex cable suggest a redesigned iPad 3 remains to be seen. Anyway, reports have been saying that the iPad 3 is about to be assembled beginning in January 2012. If this is true, then it would just be a couple of months before we see whether the iPad 3 looks totally different from the iPad 2.
